YORKIETZU THE ULTIMATE DESIGNER DOG: 

If you are looking for a dog, that is good indoors, good with kids, likes to sit on your lap, and loves attention.  Yorkietzus do not shed and are easy to train, a good watchdog, this may be the perfect dog for you.

I purchased a female Shihtzu a few years ago and it was soon apparent that she would never be large enough to breed to a male Shihtzu, so I considered breeding her to one of my male Yorkies.   The result was amazing, she had four of the most beautiful puppies I had ever seen.  I have repeated this pairing with other of my females Shihtzus and got the same results. 

In the past few years, I have bred Yorkietzus, they are usually in one of two colors, either a golden reddish-brown or the black and gold of the Yorkie, in which case they look like a Yorkie with a long tail.  The amazing thing about the Yorkietzu, is that they have the best traits of both parents.  The size and spirit of the Yorkie, combined with the temperament and playfulness of the Shihtzu .  They like nothing better than to be beside you at all times.

Everything about the Yorkie puppy applies to the Yorkietzu.  Their small size makes them vulnerable to injury from rough play, so children should always be supervised when playing with Yorkietzu puppies.  They are very loyal to their family and just aim to please. 

Yorkietzus (like Yorkies and Shihtzus, ) have hair not fur, they do not shed.  They need to be groomed regularly.  They are very sensitive to extremes of weather and should be kept indoors.
